Quality

Strengths: Easy overclocking, Very good price to performance ratio

Weakness: none really

Ok, this is an amazing cpu. This cpu overclocks like a dream. The venice core allows this. It also produces less heat. Buy this cpu, and overclock it with GREAT ease. You can easily oc this bad boy to 2.5 from the 2.0 stock. This way, you can essentially get a 3500+ or 3800+ for a fraction of the price. Seriously, this is probably the easiest cpu to overclock, anyone can do it.

Great Processor

Strengths: Fast and runs cool

Weakness: none so far

I have used these processors since they 1st came out. Never had a failure. I Have tried Intel a few times but always go back to AMD. The new ones run much cooler than they did a few years ago.

Simply Excellent

Strengths: Speed, Minimal Heat, 64bit in near future

Weakness: Absolutely None

This is one of the gift I've ever received from an amazing AMD technology. If anyone has had any problem, they should check other factor that is responsible for such. Certainly, this excellent CPU architecture will soon gain a good ground no doubt. I sometimes wonder what will become of this awesome CPU when running at 3GHz. I know forsure that Intel will never have any answer to this type of CPU overall design. I'm presently using the desktop replacement version on my laptop hp pavilion zv6005us. I know that the performance I'm enjoying now is not from hp but from AMD and ATI.

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Processor

Strengths: Lower price for more power than Intel

Weakness: none

This is my first 64-bit CPU and is working well after 3 weeks. I will be looking into overclocking it soon. This is the retail version with the fan. The fan is quite too.
I would go for the 3500+ with more cache if I had more cash.

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Processor

Strengths: Price, new venice core, very easy to install and use, stays cool.

Weakness: Could of gone for a 3500+ for not much more.

Got this for my first build it yourself computer. I can really tell the differece between it and my AMD Athlon XP 2100+. But if you can afford it I'd go for a faster chip. I think this is the slowest of the Venice cores they make.

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Processor

Strengths: great for the money

Weakness: occasionally - receives a fan error message on boot

It's definitely fast. Compared to the reg 3200 athlon and pent 4. Boots in split seconds! Although sometimes gives a fan error message on motherboard. Didn't quite figure it out yet. Not sure if there's a serious problem.

perfect for the mid grade

Strengths: low cost, plenty of power, more stable then Intel

Weakness: Slight power hog, runs a little hotter

This is the second AMD chip I have owned, and the first one is still in use after 5 years of constant use. the new 64 bit technology also gives the freedom for upgrades later down the road.

Good processor for the money I paid.

Strengths: It's fast and runs games beautifully.

Weakness: When running day-to-day tasks, it seems to lag sometimes.

I bought an AMD processor mainly because I wanted to play games and this game can run all the games I play smoothly and I don't even use a high-end video card.

It was my first build so installing the heatsink was a hassle but everything worked out in the end. The thermal pad is both a blessing and a curse becaue I don't have to use any thermal compound but also, AMD specifically points out that using any other thermal pad besides the ones they list, it voids the warranty.

If you've got 50 more dollars, you could probably go for the 3500+ series but I still like the performance for the price I paid.

It might be just my model but the fan sometimes starts slow when you first turn on the computer so you might get false alarms. More serious, I've found that the fan itself stops spinning and upon opening the case, I see the fan trying to spin but gets stuck. A flick gets it back in motion though. You might want to replace the stock heatink.

Go AMD!

Strengths: Runs cool, even with stock HSF.

Weakness: None apparent.

I upgraded to the Athlon 64 3200+ Venice core from an Athlon XP 1600+ and wow this processor is amazing! It runs cool and blows the heck out of my old system.

One cool runner

Strengths: Ultra smooth gaming, overclocks well, and runs very cool.

Weakness: None!!!!!

The free Half life 2 via steam takes for ever to donwload. Been downloading for 4 hours and still has 812 minutes left. I have the 3000+ as well. The 3000+ overclocked much better.

Great bargain, still good power.

Strengths: Still working strong after 4 years, so I bought a new one for 20% of what it cost back then

Weakness: None really

I havent completed building the new pc with the newest A64 3200+ I bought. But for a little over $30, which included HSF, I could not pass up this cpu bargain. I just recently gave away a 4 year old model that has never stopped kicking.
