X-Fi XtremeMusicStrengths: Great sound -- onboard processing, Dolby, DTS, THX Certified; lots and lots of adjustments can be made with included software. Weakness: Poor instruction manual -- it gets you through how to do a basic install, but there's no pin map to explain what can connect to the dozens of pins on the board. I've always used a Creative sound card on my past systems, so the XtremeMusic was a no-brainer when it came time to build a new one. The sound is amazing -- and while most of the included software you don't need, the basics give you a lot of flexibility to get the sound you want. I only wish they would include better documentation about their product beyond the basic installation instructions....

Best soundcard I have ever had...Strengths: -Awesome sound! -Great software -New 64 bit support -Awesome game support -Great value card -Kills other cards!! Weakness: -No XRAM -No front console -Missing another plugin (audio out is also mic) -Have to switch between modes This is the best card for the money. Plain and simple. I would not get anyother card and I have had ZERO problems with it in 3 months of use. The mode-switching I have to can get old after a while but its really easy to do so. I am running XP 64 bit with no problems, just had to go download the drivers off creative's website. Software can be useful unless you have alternatives, but, overall, this...

Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic Sound CardStrengths: Sounds great. Weakness: Price is a bit high, espcially since it lacks the RAM that the higher priced cards have. Not enough internal ports. Once again Creative has created a great audio card that's easy to install. For the $130 price tag on the unit, however, you would expect the same kind of card that's offered in their higher packages. I was disappointed when I found the card lacking some connection ports that I had previously used on my Audigy sound card. If you have the money to spend, buy the next model up.

May not have 64 bit processor support driver yet. Great CardStrengths: Sounds awesome in music...although the bass sounds about the same as my old Audigy 2(non-ZS). Games sounds way more realistic as well. Weakness: no remote Awesome card and worth the money. I would wait for a good deal before upgrading though. This card is great, but not worth it if upgrading from an Audigy 2.

Great Card
Strengths: Beautiful sound that totally overtakes intergrated sound.
Weakness: There could be 2 jacks for digital out, line in, and microphone instead of one.
I began playing call of duty 2 and realized that intergrated sound chews up my CPU usage and had to set the sound quality to low. With this sound card I can now play games with full sound quality.
