Standard, no-frills card.Strengths: Compatibility, reliability. Weakness: None so far. There is really nothing extraordinary about this card. It is reliable and works as advertised. There are no internal digital audio connectors for CD drives but I guess in this day and age there is really no need for them.

It's okay.Strengths: Price and software. Weakness: None so far. I bought it last December, 2007. There is no problem so far. Compared to my motherboard sound (Realtek HD audio), it shows better quality of sound. But, it took a time to update and to register the product (burdensome). Price is reasonable too ($30 at Buy.com). Not the best sound card, but good product.

Weakness: Don't bother with software on enclosed CD
This is a good, inexpensive, sound card that is really a big step up from integrated motherboard sound. It sounds good and if you're not looking for anything fancy you should be looking for this card. Your best bet is to install the card physically and then check creative.com for the most updated drivers. Don't bother with the bloatware on the enclosed CD.
