Great for Budget HTPC
Strengths: DVI and Component/S-Video out, PCI-X, on-board video and sound are great.
Weakness: Unable to use VGA and DVI/component out simultaneously. Installation book tough to follow at times.
If you are in the market for a new HTPC, I'd highly recommend this mobo. It has onboard video and sound, and I'm using it in conjunction with a Hauppauge 150 in MCE. The 6150 chipset worked flawlessly with Media Center and the nVidea mpeg codec. It also has just the right amount slots to upgrade in the future, all in a m-atx board. Save yourself money and frustration and go with this board. If...

good board, weird errors
Strengths: features, nearly everything you could want
Weakness: weird boot errors randomly. sometimes it will not turn on, most of the time it will. sometimes cant read the boot devices sound devices dont turn on sometimes
great board, all the features you could want in a cheap micro-atx motherboard. when it works, it is one of the best for the money highly recommended. randomly it will not find the boot devices. you have to reseat the hard drive sata cable and it will work. it is not the cable as i have tried multiple ones. also, randomly the sound will not work. sometimes it boots and the sound doesnt work, so i...

Great MoBo!
Strengths: Easy Setup, good performance, cheap for what you get, decent video, but PCI-exp slot for expandability, twim monitor capability (if one is DVI), SATA2(300).
Weakness: None, yet. Possibly the lack of more slots for additional cards, but that's not a problem, for me.
Not much to say except that the installtion went without a hitch. I paired it up with an AMD 3800 X2, and a Gig of Geil and there were no problems, whatsoever. SATA did not need any additional drivers during Windows installation, although the bootup screen went so fast during setup (because there was not anything loaded on the system, yet) that it was hard to press the delete key fast enough. I...

MSI and Nvidia excellent combo
Strengths: Many features for excellent price. Compatible with all my hardware. Great video and very good sound.
Weakness: Manual is good, but alone cannot coach you through a first build. You will need a more complete how-to to avoid problems.
Much of the manual is devoted to setting up a RAID system for multiple hard drives. This can be valuable, but probably won't be used by most, notwithstanding that using a backup hard drive is a must--forget DVDs for backup! More important, don't buy just any case. Get one with Intel High Definition sound specs, 10-pin, so the front audio connections will match the connections on the MSI. If the...

Very nice motherboard
Strengths: All-in-one. No bugs like similar motherboards. On-board DVI.
Weakness: Impossible to find in stock
After having a lot of problems with Asus 6150 motherboard, I installed this and was very happy. It enables %25 overclocking (max FSB is 250Mhz), and cool and quite works just fine. This is a perfect motherboard for mini-pc, it even has an on-board DVI along with very nice sound system. I'm now using it with an Opteron 165 in a Chenming-m118 case. After years of using Asus brand, this is my first...
