Awesome quality for a super price!

Strengths: Great price, high quality. Good color, brightness settings for anyone's taste.

Weakness: Not glossy screen, contrast ratio could be higher.

This monitor may fall just a little short of the Samsung 226BW, but the price is so much lower that most users (myself being a gamer) would never notice the difference. I would highly recommend this product, and would purchase another before a Samsung item.

great monitor

Strengths: crisp display, nice looking.

Weakness: adjust buttons are not well designed.

This is a great monitor. I have Dell E228wfp at work, and bought this Acer 2223 for home use. Everything works great! No dead or bright pixels. I love it! I don't use the built-in speakers so I didn't test them. Other reviews indicate they are just a joke. The only complain I have is the adjust buttons. The menu button and the scroll buttons are separated by the power button. This makes it is not...

Fine Grain Crystal 22" LCD Monitor AL2223Wd Silver

Strengths: Bright, Clear. 5 modes of auto fitting, never flicking when connected to KVMs. More space on stand.

Weakness: None.

I would highly recommend this 22" monitor. I have a AOC 22" monitor which is mode by Envision, but this Acer one out performs AOC one. I use KVM and I noticed some flicking and refreshing when using AOC. For Acer, everything is fine. I can put my figure print reader on the stand, save me a lot of space. Really nice product.

Excellent Value for 22" LCD

Strengths: Thin bezel, DVI with HDCP, huge size, 3 year warranty.

Weakness: 6-bit, not 1080p

This LCD is an excellent value for about $300. It has an extremely thin bezel so not much space is wasted. The colors look great, even although it is only a 6-bit panel. It is even has HDCP for playing protected HD content, although the screen is not large enough for 1080p.

Acer AL2223Wd Silver 22

Strengths: Fantastic widescreen picture. Great colors. Super price. It looks like a monitor priced 3 times what it cost.

Weakness: Speakers are exactly what they are. Small and almost useless. The stand is a little flimsy but functional. The instructions manual was terrible and the print was so small I couldn't read it.

I couldn't be happier with the picture quality, colors, and overall quality of this monitor. There are no dead pixels and I even liked the box it came in,(nice little handle on it). I watched a movie from across the room last night and was very pleased. I even enjoy watching the fish in the aquarium screensaver now. I didn't like the placement of the VGA cable on the rear of the monitor because...

Pretty cheap large LCD

Strengths: buy it from staples for less $200. It is the amazing price for 22' LCD.

Weakness: Have not found one

Cheap price, large size, I replace it with my 17' LCD which bought at $140 two years before. I would like to buy one more for my parents and sister.

Good not great

Strengths: Great price, light-weight, good all-around performance

Weakness: No extras

This a good inexpensive 22" monitor, but I would only get it if your current monitor isn't better for clarity and sharpness. I came from a 17" Dell and wish I had spent the extra $50 to get the Dell 22" WD. It is less clear with less rich color than the Dell. Also it has no height adjustment so I had to sit it on a phone book for the right level.

Clear view with good contrast

Strengths: Strong contrast ratio and good brightness. The fonts were clear and color was very good.

Weakness: No speaker option. I wish it had an optional speaker system or even built-in speakers.

Strong contrast ratio and good brightness. The fonts were clear and color was very good. I use it for video editing and it was good enough for what it is. Better viewing angle then some of its competitors. No speaker option. I wish it had an optional speaker system or even built-in speakers.

Good Monitor for the price

Strengths: Price, Large Screen

Weakness: Plastic case feels cheap

This monitor has a very good image and vibrant colors at its native resolution (1680x1050. It has unobtrusive built-in speakers, which are definitely not good (except for chatting, but you should buy separate speakers anyways), and it accepts both VGA and DVI inputs. For the price it is currently selling, this is probably the best deals for a 22-inch monitor.

Excellent widescreen display

Strengths: 1680x1050 res, 5ms, very little to no back light bleed, no dead pixels.

Weakness: adjustment buttons are not clearly labeled, although once you set it you never touch them again.

Would have liked a height adjustable stand with a vertical/horizontal swivel ability for reading long documents. The display seems fast, played a few games at native resolution and have not noticed any input lag or ghosting at all. All in all, this is a much nicer LCD than my other, a 19" sony that is about 2 years old. The acer is brighter, has more vibrant colors, and text looks sharper.
