Pinnacle Studio Ultimate 11 - A Great Video Editor

Strengths: Great for importing your analog or digital video and editing it to be saved to DVD or on to tape.

Weakness: A little expensive but can be gotten with a rebate for upgrading from other programs. Some menu options are hidden in drop-down menues.

I have been a user of Pinnacle Studio since version 9 and find that it does keep getting better and better. The main difference between Studio Plus 11 and Studio Ultimate 11 is that you get and extra DVD of Bonus graphics and programs. Not a good choice

Strengths: nice interface

Weakness: crash prone

I like to do home movie editing so I bought this program when it was on sale. I installed it and proceeded to use it. It has a very nice interface but when I tried to use it for any length of time the computer would crash. I tried the various suggestions that Pinnacle tech support made but no luck. Great Basic Feature Program

Studio 11 Ultimate ineeds a lot of work

Strengths: interface

Weakness: Stability, price

Pinnacle Studio Ultimate 11 has a of power and a pretty interface but the program is buggy and crash prone. Also a lot of the features that Pinnacle says are included cost extra to activate so you get nickel and dimed to death. Too bad Pinnacle can't get the bugs out If they did this it would be a great program.

This is a very powerful video editing software. I would categorize it a pro-sumer product. It has a lot of special effect and sort of easy to follow features as well as user interface. Prone to the Same Problems as Previous Versions of...

Strengths: When it's functioning correctly, it's a powerful software for video editing, with everything you would need to create near-professional video results.

Weakness: Crashes more that I would like.

Every time a new version of Pinnacle Studio comes out, I have high hopes that they may have finally fixed the bugginess and crash-propensity that has made Pinnacle Studio famous. Unfortunately, this software still suffers from many of the same problems. If you can deal with the frustration of semi-frequent crashes, you will be pleased at the options that this software provides.
