CMPSU-450VXStrengths: Nicely packaged Weakness: Doesn't work First thing I noticed when unwrapped it - one of the body panels was misaligned/shifted. I thought "it's OK, but they should do better job on visual inspection there". Then I build my new rig and it wasn't turning on. After I checked and rechecked everything I decided to swap PSU - took Enermax Liberty 500W and boot with it from the first try. What a letdown by Corsair. PSU was likely poorly...

Great power supplyStrengths: Extremely quiet, long cables, lots of easy to use connections Weakness: none I got this power supply for my latest PC and was extremely impressed. I try to build all my PCs to be as quiet as possible and this PSU definitely helps out in that dept. Since I used the Antec Mini-P180 case, which has the PSU in the bottom of the case, the long cables came in extremely handy. I would recommend this PSU to anyone who wants a solid, quiet system.

Good PSUStrengths: 4 or 8 pin connector power connector, very quiet and it is small but gives good watts/amps Weakness: Only 1 PCI-E power connector A good watts/amps for the price. Corsair power supply have always been good and this one is no exception. Running an 8800GT, e6750, 500GB WD hard drive, DVD RW drive, and a lot of fans without any trouble. I like that it is a small power supply so it fits in well to my case and it has enough cords to connect what I want. Not great for a huge power system (Quad core/SLI/Crossfire), but great for...

Quiet, Capable, StylishStrengths: Sheathed cords for good ventilation, lots of plugs, handles 24-pin motherboards, quiet Weakness: Only one PCI-E cable I bought this power supply after upgrading my motherboard. Spent $80 minus $15 rebates. It wasn't planned because the new motherboard required a 24 pin power plug, and my old psu had only a 20 pin plug. Still, it was a good deal. The main selling point was the noise level, which is pretty low. The Fry's salesman told me it was a really good unit, and so far no regrets. Other bonuses - all wires...

Great power supply.Strengths: Quiet, lots of calbes, and reliable. Weakness: None so far. It is a great power supply. The package of this product is another merit (e.g., Safe package). It was a really quiet and reliable power supply. I did not recognize its sound. I may buy it again for my second desktop. Price is not expensive ($75 at Buy.com), compared to its performance and features. Strongly recommended.

Good Power SupplyStrengths: Quiet, efficient, sleeved cables, lots of connectors Weakness: A little pricey It’s efficient and very quiet. There are mesh sleeves on the cables and some ties for cable management. The cables are long enough for a full tower. This power supply has more connectors than I’ll ever need, with six each of SATA and 4-pin IDE. It’s not the cheapest power supply, but you get what you pay for.

Thank you sir, I'll have anotherStrengths: Very quiet exhaust fans. Output rated to over 85%. Fits my SFF. Long, mesh-sleeved cables. 5-year Corsair warranty. Weakness: None so far This is an excellent replacement/aftermarket power supply. Do yourself a favor. Do not underestimate the difference a quality power supply can make to your rig. The 120mm fan makes this PSU whisper quiet. My mobo required an 8-pin EPS/ATX12V connector & this was one of the few that actually had it that was under $100. ATX 2.2 and 2.01 spec compatible. Corsair offers a 5-year limited warranty vs....

Great PSUStrengths: Solid power, quiet, 5 year warranty, good cable length, high efficiency. Single Rail 12v. Weakness: Green sticker might be a bit obnoxious in some windowed cases. Cables might be too long in smaller cases. This is a hefty PSU and that's a good thing. This model is manufactured by Seasonic which makes some of the better power supplies in the industry. This PSU easily puts out more power than my old Antec SP2.0 500W. Some might say that the lack of modular cables is a negative but I don't. Fewer things to keep track of or lose.

corsair vx450w - ultra quiet high efficient power...Strengths: very quiet, large range input voltage, energy efficient, very stable Weakness: none I searched for a reliable quiet power supply for my PC system (Athlon 64 3200+, Asrock 939SLI-eSata2, Nvidia 7900GT-512MB) and after reading some online PSU-tests I decided to buy the Corsair VX450. My last PSU was a low end 500W supply which could not feed the system correctly during start up, when the largest amount of peek energy is needed (In this case the system typically stalls randomly...

Corsair vx450w
Corsairs cheapest PSU the VX450W was introduced as part of a new budget line in early 2007. Utilizing a single 12v rail the power supply is also their lowest wattage unit at 450W. It is nothing to scoff at however, with 33A on the 12V rail the VX450W can power any single video card gaming rig without issue, and is near silent up to 250W throughput. Manufacturered by Seasonic the VX450W comes with... Top

Super quiet PSU
Strengths: Super quiet, energy efficient, sleeve and long cables
Weakness: None
I decided to get the Corsair VX450W after reading JonnyGuru and SilentPCReview on the unit. I have been using it for about 2 weeks now, replaced an Antec TruePower that die inside my parents' computer. We immediately noticed how quiet the computer become. We were impressed by the overall quality of the unit. With Corsair's awesome support and 5 year warranty, buying this PSU is a no-brainer.
