Solid as a rock in a cops face.
Strengths: Solid board from top to bottom. I tried some other value series type boards that weren't close to this one's quality. Nice bundle. Sound card is okay. Great reviews from Toms Hardware.
Weakness: No sli available. Heat pipes might be a tight fit for any after market cooler. I used the coolermaster hyper tx2 for ease of installation and decent cooling. Price may be a little steep for some.
Searching for the right mobo is tough. I did a lot of research and a couple trial and errors. I tried a gigabyte p35 ds3l but the cold boot issues plagued that chipset across all manufacturers. Maximus Formula
Strengths: x38 with DDR2
Weakness: NB and SB temperatures, no eSATA

North Bridge and South Bridge chips have temperatures 45-50C idle, and it is impossible to tell if this is motherboard reporting wrong temperatures or it is true. Case is full tower with a lot of fans. I thought that it was because BIOS automaticaly overclocks NB and SB under Auto option, but even manually changing...

Quality Motherboard
Strengths: Lots of features
Weakness: Overpriced, Very picky with ram. The northbridge/southbridge get VERY hot.
I bought this motherboard mostly due to wanting a motherboard that has a lot of features. Normally I don't spend this much on a board, but did this time. If I had to do it again, I would buy a less expensive board which overclocks just as easily. This board does have a lot of fan connections, which is very nice. It also has a nice lcd screen for debugging. My Transcend DDR2 ram doesn't appear...
