Intel Celeron 2.20 GHz Processor

Strengths: overclocks like nobodys business, quad pumped, 0.13micron design, about half as large as AXP, cheap

Weakness: cache

Celeron is P4 with much lesser cache (128K vs 512K). You can overclock it and find a 'zone' for your self (fast means hot, so thats the tradeoff). MP3 encoding trails AXP (my friends system), but MPEG2 encoding is visibly faster on the Celeron system. 400MHz FSB, Higher memory bus speed are among the reasons. Great Value for money (especially if you buy a combination MBoard)

Intel Celeron 2.20 GHz Processor

Strengths: quality / low temperature

Weakness: low cache really afect performance

I bought this CPU after AMD XP1500+ (which i used for year and half). Well i wanted p4 (512Kb cache) but for financial reasons i took this one. Well it performs very well and stable as you would expect from intel. But i was amazed to see that it couldnt catch up with my XP1500+ ? which had SDRAM, and this cely had 512md 333Mhz DDR. I did all kinds of test, sisoft sandra got 4150 index (on MSI 645...
