Bought with high expectations. Great Screen, but all that has been said about the track pad is true. You need to turn off tapping if you're going to type. What's more disturbing is that if you search on this problem on the internet you find that it's a known issue since as far back as November 2009. So why haven't they fixed it. Really annoying. but otherwise has pretty good features. I'm returning it and will try the Dell 11z. Too, bad 'cause I've grown to really like HP. Their return policy and process is terrific and I'll definitely buy another hp for that alone when I'm in the market for something bigger than the mini. I already have one of their Dv8t's and am very happy with it.

Freezing Problems.

Less than 5 days after receiving what i thought was to be a good laptop it turns on and freezes at home screen. I was very disappointed and tried restoring it to a day earlier but nothing happened. It is a nice looking laptop but bad hardware=bad laptop maybe i got a defective product because the other reviews are very satisfying and thats a reason I bought it. Great little computer

I use this hp to surf the net mostly. Works great. I love windows7 too. No need for a mac. Get this baby. You won't be disappointed. I use a laser mouse because I found the touchpad not a convenient for me.

Disappointed

Went to 2 different websites to view 2 tv shows I missed lst week and both had choppy video. Skyped my daughter and watched changing 3 second still images of her in her dorm room. Audio was fine but video gave me a headache. Lacks the horsepower my notebook has I guess, but I expected more based upon the website's marketing comments.

I am really pleased with the preformance I get out of my mini 311, the specs on this particular model are hard to find on most netbooks and they really make this computer match or beat most of the newer full size laptops. I only intended to surf the web but now I am playing games and watching videos (in 1080 hd btw) editing pictures and down loading music, pretty much everyhting I do on a desktop comptuer. If you want laptop/desktop performance but in a netbook size then HP Mini 311 is the way to go, actually if you just want a good netbook, the HP mini lineup will make you more then satisfied.
