Description:

The P4 CPU on 800 MHz FSB, Intel 875P chipset and ASUS' motherboard expertise are exactly what you need if extreme performance is what you are looking for. The P4C800 Deluxe has all of the above plus dual-channel ECC DDR 400 memory, Hyper-Threading Technology support and a whole bunch of advanced innovations for an expert like you. P4C800 Deluxe also integrates artificial intelligent features such as net-diagnosing utility, audio-jack sensing technology, auto-adjusting CPU Fan and more. The P4C800 Deluxe simply out-performs, out-smarts and out-shines all competition. Leveraging the Intel 875P chipset to support 3.2 GHz+ P4 CPU on 800 MHz FSB, Dual DDR 400 memory, Intel Hyper-Threading Technology, Intel Performance Acceleration Technology, and a full-range of advanced features, P4C800 Deluxe really delivers a full-value, high-performance solution for today's most demanding tasks. Dual-channel DDR technology doubles the bandwidth of your system memory and hence boost the system performance to outperform any memory existing solutions in the market. System bottlenecks are eliminated with balanced architecture and peak bandwidths up to 6.4 GB/s. The AI Series supports Gigabit LAN by integrating the 3COM 3C940 controller, equipped with a unique net-diagnosing utility - VCT (Virtual Cable Tester). The controller intelligently detects net connection status up to 100 meters from a remote location and reports the distance of bad cable. AI series motherboards employed the world's first intelligent audio CODEC. The 6-channel AD1985 audio CODEC automatically detects and identifies what types of peripherals are plugged into the audio I/O jacks and notifies users of inappropriate connection, meaning there will be no more confusion of Line-in, Line-out and Mic jacks. Whenever BIOS gets corrupted, ASUS CrashFree BIOS 2 allows users to reboot the computer and perform a smart auto-recovery procedure through the motherboard support CD.

Get the P4C800-E Deluxe...

Strengths: power

Weakness: design errors

Get the P4C800-E Deluxe version(remake) guys. This board is old. It can't be stressed more. Asus has made the mistake of puttin 3com lan on such a powerful motherboard. Intel Gigabit LAN is much better. The tiny bit of extra money is worth it.

I used this board with P4 2.4C,...

Strengths: very stable

Weakness: as if

I used this board with P4 2.4C, 512MB 3200 Dual Channel RAM, GeForce 4TI 4800SE, and the Sonata case. The system is stable and fast. The onboard NIC is sweet, no noticable slowdowns. No problems at all with XP Pro. Once the drivers from Asus are installed, everything is smooth.

Asus did it right this time, as...

Strengths: The Asus P4C800 Deluxe is the fastest and most stable motherboard that I have ever used. Coupled with AI, the board has allowed me to overclock my system by 30% with no problems.

Weakness: The only one that I can see would be the 3COM gigabit ethernet. Asus should have paid for the Intel CSA. Since they didn't, the ethernet chip uses the southbridge which can lead to system slow downs.

Asus did it right this time, as always, by releasing the P4C800. It has advanced AI built right in. So you can do pretty much anything you want to your computer without worrying about messing something up. It also has support for the new 800MHz FSB processors coming out from Intel. Just imagine how fast it would be with 2GB of Dual Channel DDR400!!! I strongly recommend this board to anyone who...

A great stable board that ranks...

Strengths: 800Mhz FSB! The Canterwood Chipset is a definte improvement over the SiS 648 and the intel i7205 chipsets, makiing this board much more stable in my opinion.

Weakness: The integrated Gbit 3COM LAN card is a potential bottleneck because it doesnt take advantage of Intel's Communication Streaming Architecture built into the chipset. Instead using a PCI bus.

A great stable board that ranks near the top in the performance catagory with great features. I havent had a hiccup yet. I use this board primarily for gaming and it's great. I highly recommend.

I knew the Granet Bay and sis655...

Strengths: Finally we beat the MOBO bottleneck: The chipsets!

Weakness: Nothing! What more could you want? A massage with your MOBO? You got broadband all over this mother! Can't touch this! RAID/SATA controller; firewire; USB 2.0; on and on! It's all good!

I knew the Granet Bay and sis655 solutions were weak and that they would quickly date! (Just read the Amandtech and Tom's Hardware reviews)

Intel now has a 2.4 G 800FSB CPU for this baby due out next month!

In the interim, you have the Intel P4 3 Gig 800FSB CPU if you have money to burn!
