Acer 3002LCi
Strengths: N/A
Weakness: N/A
I am entirely pleased. Had the notebook for about three months. No complaints at all. I am a full time graduate student, and it seems to fit my needs perfect. The screen resolution/contrast seems fine to me. The keyboard is very nice. I bought an external wireless mouse. Everyone I work with spent over 1000 dollars for their notebooks, and mine seems to be capable of doing everything they can do.

Strengths: Cheap, good wireless signal
Weakness: Low battery life ---
This is a great bargain laptop for someone that won't use it as a travel lappy - too heavy and short battery life for that. I bought it as a "starter" computer (upgrade from webtv) for my 75 yr old parents, and upgraded the memory - will be perfect. All and all, a great cheap laptop, with good speed.

This is a great budget laptop. We ordered one for my girlfriend's sister for her birthday. It arrived in 2 days, in perfect condition with NO dead pixels. We also ordered another 256MB RAM with it as well. Pros) Speedy, doesn't feel much slower than my AMD64 3700+. The keyboard and touchpad are VERY nice, i'd say as good as they get. It's thin, not heavy, and everything is accessible from the...

Value computer
Strengths: Price; usability and portability; wireless.
Weakness: Battery life.
I purchased this laptop several weeks ago. As a grad student, I was on a budget, and I am very happy with what I got for the money I paid. Upgrading your memory to at least 512MB RAM (or more if you can afford the upgrade) will make the computer run more smoothly and faster. Wireless connectivity and the CDRW were a plus for the price, and I am satisfied with my purchase. I have not noticed the...

Great Value.
Strengths: Price, wireless connectivity, great hardware for the $.
Weakness: Battery life around 1 hr...apparently can be upgraded but the 1 hour life doesn't really seem to affect me, I'm usually near an electrical outlet.
I've owned for about 6 months. I've dropped it and my dogs have stepped on it couple of times and it's still going strong. I will upgrade memory at some point...I'll probably have someone buy me a stick or two of memory as a relatively cheap, easy Christmas present.
